anyone out there know how i sort this? i have been to intels site to down load the software but i been told i need to download the chipset as the audio driver wont work with out it,i am tearing my hair out here! any clues on how i find this and what i download first would be welcomed.thanks.

first, did you reset your BIOS?

second, if you call the manufacturer of your computer, it is likely that it can guide you along to using their utilities to download the chipset that you originally had, right? it can also step you through resetting your BIOS.

sometimes you will have to go back to your original backup software disc, install that, then go out to its website to search for its upgrades and patches.

well your mothboard should have came with a CD and that will install all you need to get up and running then you can get on the net and download the rest

your mobo will have come with a disc pop that in and install all the drivers on it and you should be ok
