Cars are only a small part of it. Just imagine the transportation system that sends food and other goods all over the world grinding to a halt. And all the materials, such as plastics, that are petrochemical based, going offline. And all the power generation and manufacturing, etc. etc. currently dependent on fossil fuels.

The end result depends on several things. Can we find viable alternatives? Can we adapt to greatly reduced energy?

For me it is somewhat hopeful to know that OPEC has tried to raise prices in the past and has found it extremely inconvenient because of all the innovative research that occurred around that time; the sort of research which could lead to greatly reduced global need for oil.

However there is also convincing evidence that we are in for some very difficult times if ever the flow of oil is stemmed.

That day two things will be going to happen with different point of view, if u thing about ur luxury then u will have to suffer a little much but u will be use to of that in few months or years but from the 2nd point of view we will live in a better world from now and if u r worry about ur transport then don't worry, in future there will be electric car, bikes and Transports running with Hydrogen Fuel which after burning only give water vapour .
I hope that day will come soon for the sec of our future.

. First of all, the fossil fuel will not suddenly run out. As it becomes more scarce, the price will begin to rise and this will help people to decide that they should find other ways to power their machinery. We will probably never actually run out. Economics will cause a change in energy supplies before we actually run out of fossil fuels.
. The last petrol station on earth will probably go bankrupt with fuel still in its tanks.

dear neeraj you are right we might have chaos but we have other resources like solar energy, tidal energy etc.. to run our cars and to produce electricity.the fossil fuels are non renewable resorces and so we can't depend on them.but solar energy etc.. are renewable resources and can be used for many purposes where fossil fuels cannot be used. and also petrol and disel will last for atleast 35 years more.still we need to avoid using petrol and disel because they take long time to form. so we should use our resources carefully so that they don't get depleted

Without fossil fuels (coal, petrol, diesel)there would be no fuel to run vehicles accept solar energy the solar car could cost millions of dollars when fossil fuel exhaust it would cost much money fo normal person to pay for electricity bills. we have to wake up with sun and end our day with sun we cant do any work for lat night........................... So conserve fossil fuels and use them wisely

Dear Neeraj . I appreciate your asking the question. Yes you are correct in asking this like. Every one knows the more utility the less the source. Your question indicates the fear of future fueling sources. If we want the same quantity of fosil fuels it takes millions of years! So search for the alternative is must. There are so many such methods to adopt. One is wind energy. Solar energy, bioenergy.. this like there are other energies. What we lack is fear of future and lack of control over the heavy utility of the fules. You are welcome to grentreefoudnation_india@yahoo.co.in

international warming isn't brought about via the warmth released via burning fossil fuels, which it incredibly is a long thank you to small to have an significant effect on temperature; it relatively is brought about via the warmth trapped via the carbon dioxide released via burning fossil fuels. yet, curiously the "skeptics" think of that the 1st and 2nd rules of thermodynamics would not word to the warmth trapped via carbon dioxide.

after completion of fossil fuels,we will use the solar energy & electricity for our moters & for cooking we w'l use cowdong gas.
now a days we can get diesel from plants wh we called bio-diesel.

don't worry by that time there would be alternate fuels like bio-cells.
there is around 150 years for fossil fuels to get depleted.

It is more likely that we will cook our brains first unless humans and governments change their way of thinking.
