One late payment won't hurt you as bad as always making your payment late. I'm sure your credit score will be fine.

As long as you are less than 30 days late, it should not affect your credit score negatively. You may have to pay a late charge, but your credit report will still show no payments more than 30 days late.

Your score should be fine....it might not be effected at all if it was less than 30 days.
i wouldnt worry about it too much, you have 30 or so years of great payments to offset it
if it does show up, you can write an explanation and send it to the big three and they can include that explanation with anyone who looks at your credit report.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

How late was it? 30 or 60 days late? If it was one of those, yes. If you had your account for a number of years already and don't want it listed contact and discuss with your lender and see if they will not record it as a late payment. But call them and see.

It will show up, but I highly doubt it will affect your overall score unless it's like 120 days late..........but a one "30 day late" score is usually overlooked.
