The Character "Reed Cassidy" is a work of pure fiction loosely based on the French born American World War I fighter pilot who served in France with the "Lafayette Escadrille" by the name of 'Raoul Gervais Victor Lufberry'.

Cassidy was the only one left from all the pilots he started out with. That's why he had such a vendetta. Are you related to my wife? She doesn't pay attention at movies, either.
