True story: I always thought Pepsi helped me get over nausea. My husband always thought that was all in my head and that I was crazy. One day he took me to the emergency room for some reason or other. I told the nurse I felt like throwing up. She walked out of the room and came back with a Pepsi. She handed it to me and said, this will help. I looked at my husband and he said... you were right.

The nurse said that anything with Ginger in it, like Ginger Ale, will help. Now, I don't know if Coke or Pepsi have any ginger in them, but they've always helped me.

"Nutella" is very wrong. Yes, it's the syrup. You can actually buy just coca cola syrup at the pharmacy. It's behind the counter--you just have to do is ask for it. My mother always kept a bottle in the fridge when I was growing up for upset stomach. If you just use Coke, then you should stir it with a spoon until it's flat. I know, yuck, but if you're nauseous or throwing up, that works the best. No bubbles.

Non-refrigerated Pepsi also works well. I've heard flat Pepsi, but I've never tried it.

It always works for me. What it does is makes you burp, and gets all the excess gas in your stomach out.

Don't chug it, or you'll end up throwing up. Just sip it and either stand up straight or sit up straight so that the gas in your stomach isn't trapped from you sitting over.

Hope that helps!

I don't think that there is any medical research behind it, but it always works for me. Coke was my best friend through 3 pregnancies!

No this is not true, as it is a common misconception; However, small sips of ginger ale, or hot herbal teas can do wonders. (unless you have a condition like IBS)

I always thought it was Sprite or 7up that worked on upset stomachs.
