I have split ends and my hair is very thick. A little of my hair comes out each day. Its not that noticeable, but I'm to young to be BALD. I stopped using a hair dryer. I wash it every two weeks.

The outermost layer of the hair - the cuticle is destroyed and a hair strand splits into 2 or 3 strands.Hair should be trimmed regularly, at least once in six weeks. Longer hair is more likely to develop split ends. After shampooing and conditioning the hair, apply a drop of olive oil on the hair and comb the hair so that it spreads evenly.More details at the link below.

The primary component of hair fiber is keratin. Keratins are proteins, long chains (polymers) of amino acids. Keratin proteins form the cytoskeleton (miniature skeleton within a cell) of all epidermal cells. Keratin filaments run within a cell from the inside of the outer membrane to weave a "basket" around the nucleus of the cell. Keratins are a principle part of the cells in the epidermis, hair, nails, feathers, hooves, horny tissues and the enamel of teeth.
The condition known as split ends, technically known as trichoptilosis, occurs when the hair has been stressed too much and the stress frays the ends of the hairstrand. Common causes of trichoptilosis include damage from heat styling, bleaching, coloring, and use of inferior haircare products. Although some products claim to repair split ends, this just isn't true. The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off.
The average person sheds up to 200 hairs a day. The hair is constantly replacing itself through most of a person's life. The hair growth cycle consists of three phases: growth, fall-out, and re-growth. Shedding occurs at the fall-out stage, and prepares the follicle for the regrowth stage. If you feel your hair loss is abnormal or accelerated, consult a dermatologist or physician.

You need to have your hair trimmed every 2 mos at least to keep it in good shape. Hair falls out, naturally. Next time you get it cut ask them to thin it out some, they have special scissors for this, it will make it a lot easier to manage. Then use a good leave in conditioner on it as often as needed. When you use a dryer use a diffuser on the end, it causes less frizzing. Then when you want it to look really nice buy some steam rollers and put them in after drying it, it will make the hair smoothe and moisturize it. Also, always rinse hair in cool water to close hair shafts and never rough up yur hair with a towel when drying it, always squeeze and pat it to reduce damage. Hair likes olive oil treatments too. On weekends rub in live oil and leave it in for a few hours. It helps the texture. Good luck. Oh yeah, if the hair falling out gets a lot worse and you start to get tired, dry skin, gain weight, slow in thinking and plain old lazy have the Dr. check your thyroid. Those are symptoms of hypothyroid.

Its normal to lose 100 hairs every day, but you might want to wash it more than once every two weeks. You could get a fungal infection of the scalp, which could more serious hair loss.
If you're worried about shampoos having toxic stuff, use baby shampoo........or a shampoo by the brand Kiss My Face, which is organic and contains sulfates, which are rumored to be harsh on hair.........

every one loses A LOT of hair every day. if you start to notice spots missing, thats when you should see a doctor. As for split ends, the only thing you can do is clip them. I know it sucks, but I get them too and I can't find a cure either.

you're not getting bald, it is okay to shed some hair everyday cuz new ones are growing to take its place. as for your split ends u juz have to cut the edges. use a wide toothed comb so as not to add pressure when it is wet. u cud also try a conditioner for dry hair.
hope it helps.

its nothing to worry about!! because of the season (spring is coming) it is becoming different and your hair is not used to this weather, so it falls out a little, its ok, just take vitamins, and wash it more often to get more protien to your hair!!
