This is what I've learned and I hope it's helpful to you. When you are overcome with passion you don't see the other person or situation as it really is. I think with love you see the person and situation more for what it is. So love takes time to develop, you have to get to know the other person- in order to really love them. But to be overcome with passion for someone can happen really fast.

Love is when you always have a funny feeling in your stomach when you see him.. And when you talk to him, you lose your breath. Passion is similar, just not as strong... You'll know love once you feel it... If you are unsure, It is most likely just passion... I know it sounds corny, but Listen to your heart.. You will know!!!

Love lasts even if the passion drifts away for a moment...because of anger,disappointment,etc.
