My cat is only 6-months old. It does not have green eyes yet but they look as if their turning green. My cat also has ovule shaped eyes and they are dark around they eye. my cat has stripes coming out from his eyes and cheeks, He also has the extra skin on his back legs. He used to be very mean to new people he has never seen before but now that he's fixed he seems like he has calmed down. And he makes a variety of sounds some that sound like he is chirping or something. So is my cat a egyptian mau, because he has all the characteristics of a mau and i seen pictures of them and some of them look exactly like my kitty.

perhaps this link will help you...i believe that a great percent of what we call domestic shorthair/mediumhair/longhair cats are descendants of the egyptian mau as a very large number have similar facial markings and spots...sometimes you can even get one that looks like a fuul blood...i did and i called him Baby MauMau (how original, right? lol) he as a baby looked identical to the first mau you see in this link...but he was just a mix...no full blood there.
if you got him from a shelter or bought him from a pet store or dealer, or even found him as a baby...there is always the outside possibility that he could be a full blood or close to it...you could check around your area and see if anyone else raises maus...
