HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
Hey, I remember when I turned 30, I was a little depressed too, but I felt that way because I felt I was past that perfect age and was finally starting to get "old". Then when I turned 40, that all changed. I am now 45 and while I don't like the fact that I have to work harder to look younger (I used to always look younger than my age), I now celebrate my age. I am proud of it. As a friend of mine always said, "Any day ABOVE ground is better than a day BELOW ground". Look at your first answer, from Briana G. If someone who is 93 years old has the gumption to get on the computer and encourage you about your age, then that woman sure knows how to live. Many people even remotely close to her age wouldn't even touch a computer, let alone get on an internet forum. We could all learn from her example of how to live life!!
I'm not sure why you are not too happy, but please just believe that it DOES get easier. The landmark birthdays are always hard at first. If you think THIS one was bad, wait 10 years!! Remember that even if you are chronologically getting older, you are still the same person on the inside that you have always been. Just live with the attitude of Briana G's answer, & I believe you will be fine.
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Enjoy the rest of the day you have. Birthdays only come once a year and are always something to celebrate and feel good about. You're not old-trust me.
Enjoy life and cheer up.

Some people are depressed when they become 30 Why? Because they think just because they are leaving the teens and Twenty's, they must be getting old. Not me, when I was Thirty, I took my girlfriends out for dinner, and I celebrated, the fact that I made it to 30, and was looking forward to it. Its only a number. Each day you thank God, for another day, to live life the way you want.

Take a look at your life and see if you are truly where you want to be in life. If not, you may be unhappy. Make a commitment to yourself to follow your dreams and achieve whatever you desire. Think of 30 as a fresh start. Good luck and happy birthday!!!

b'days ending in 0,starting at 30, are depressing for everybody, usually. 30,40,50, etc. it starts a new decade, you are grouped in with an older crowd. the good news, you will make more money! the 30's are a great time of life, you are a valuable worker, raising children, your havent lost your young looks and athletic ability , or sexual prowess, yet. enjoy! it could be 50, like me!

...because you believe in your mind you're old, and you're not! Please allow me to share a secret with you. Every decade your mind is going to change. You are going to always keep sweating about your age, and forget on how you feel. When you turn 40, you'll find yourself looking at older people and wonder when its going to happen to you?
Don't sweat! People say I look like I'm in my late 20's. Of course I feel good about the comment, but I have seen some real good-looking people that you can't even guess their age. My advice is not to take on stress, spend time for yourself, and try to carefully enjoy life.
Keep Christ in your heart....
God Bless
