With this new empty Resolution against help for our Soldiers has the Demoncratic Party found themselves in a place where they are so invested in a failed War on Terror that they must now decide whether to ensure failure through Legislation or to do an about face and finally support the Troops?

please, before you try and trash something, be sure to do your research to get facts straight. I am an active army veteran, my husband is active army and is deploying (regretfully) to Iraq with his unit (no he does not support the war and has been stop lossed we have a son to take care of so we have no choice but to go with it and not make waves) and even he understands what this resolution was regarding. You are proving your ignorance with the statement or "question" you posted. they theoretically voted against the funding of the troop surge NOT against funding of the troops who are there and are already lined up to go replace the troops, etc...

The non binding resolution to not support the troop surge has given encouragement to the islamic terrorists. The best hope for the enemy is that a democrat is elected President! A vote for a democrat is almost a guarantee that the terrorists will win the war on terror and that they will follow us into this country. Democrats are delusional if they think we can leave Iraq and the fighting will stop.

Democrats do not support the Troops, they want the war to fail, and they could care less about our safety.
now acting like the cut and run Democrats that they are, beating their anti-war drums and using the election as a bellwether for their desire to bring our troops home in defeat.
The Democrats constantly cite the results as a referendum on the war on terror in Iraq. They falsely believe that Americans are so disgusted with what is going on that they [the Democrats] were put in charge to bring our troops home and end the war.
Only the ignorant would believe them. What they are really doing is trying to get the American people ready for their communist Dictatorship leadership. They kill babies, It is so much easier to abort a child than take responsibility. It is easier to redistribute wealth than foster an environment where all people can succeed . This is the Democrat way. Yes, they are painting themselves in to a corner, and only the ignorant will follow them to that corner.

Just pull our troops out and level the damn place you bloodthirsty 12 year old calling your countrymen Demoncrats!!!!
With all of your chest thumping and c*ckswinging have you worn a uniform?????
Have you put your @ss on the line??????
Every MAN in my family that has proudly worn a uniform has voted Democrat if they didn't come home in a box!!!
You are confusing politics with Patriotism and there is no Democrat that wants our troops to fail ......what we want is a leader who knows when to use our military muscle and how to use them effectively!!!!!
So you have no problem with the fact that our president went from Afghanistan where the supposed attackers of 9/11 were ....into IRAQ that it is now proven that all of the reasons he used to justify invading Iraq are false and possibly completely manufactured by Bush&Co. to make their case.....that's all OK with you????
The day we stepped foot on Iraqi soil the "enemy" was emboldened!!!!
They don't want to be a Democracy!!! They think the way they are is how they want to be!!!
If the Chinese decided they didn't like our system and said "Hey you know they have nukes and their president is a warmonger let's go liberate them" .....wouldn't you fight back????
You condemn the "Demoncrats" for playing politics and yet 17 of your own Republicans also voted for this resolution!!!
Isn't this just as much a Republican grab for power as well!!!???
This next resolution will be binding and I hope it works!!!
Our citizens deserve better!

The Dems have really screwed themselves (as always). They rode the campaign trail on a promise of ending the war to snag the votes. The problem is they didn't really have a plan and got themselves stuck. This resolution was their response because the only response they can give is meaningless words. It's so comedic that the anti-war nutters are now after them including the biggest head case of them all- Cindy Sheehan. Check out this article. It's good for a laugh...

Our "NEW" government seems to be so wrapped up in revenge that they are lashing about trying anything that will hurt the Republican Party. But that's not their job.
They were elected to do what is best for our country and not to act like revengeful children.
As soon as the more mature members of the Democrat Party begin to consul the new members, maybe our Congress will get back on their feet and make sense out of what should be done.
There is no place for "Revenge" in our Congress. Those elected people were put there to do FOR AMERICA and not for their party.

The US effort to control Iraq has already lost. Like a foolish gambler who thinks he must keep gambling to recoup his losses, Bush will throw good money (and lives) after bad.
The Democrats are cowards. They do not have the courage to say out loud what we should do now. Which is - pack up and leave. What Iraq does next is not our responsibility.

if the democrats really want to show everyone that they are sincere why don't they vote on cutting off funds for the war instead of trying to make an *** out of our fine soldiers all it really is its politics as usual maybe next election we need to dump all the gutless trash and put in some people that care for this country and our fine military.

There is a reason more than 80% of our military vote Republican. Democrats are spineless prissy poiticians. Notice I call them politicians and not leaders. Leaders are strong, courageous, and stand on principle.

It was all a grandstand attempt to find how many republican cowards will side with them in their cut and run policy. 5 republican traitors may not be enough to submit a bill to cut funding with any hopes of passing.
I foresee 2 more years of whining and caterwauling and Bush bashing.
