Today I found out the love of my life cheated on me, and I no longer wish to have feelings for them......how do you stop loving them?? I definately see them in a new light, and I know that things can never be the same....Please help!

Unfortunatly, love is not an emotion that can be turned on and off, people fall in love because of the perception they have of the person they are falling in love with...usually, this person is percieved to be someone who returns love in the same way they recieved it...this is the person you are in love with....and this person no longer exists..in order to heal your heart, you must acknowledge that the person that you are in love with is gone...it's like a death of a close relative..my advice to you would be to occupy yourself and stay away from that person and most importantly..mourn the loss as you would a death in the family because that is exactly what love is when it's gone...dead.

Well my friend love is not some thing we just turn off or on , its something that grows.Your love was already nurtured and blossom the only thing u can do about it presently is to forgive and forget . I know this might sound easy and a bit wired but in order for u to forget him u must be able to forgive him for his actions, as it was written in the holy Bible we must be able to forgive someone 70 times 7 .This is ur first step towards getting out of the relationship u must be strong and firm on all ur actions ok meaning if u choose to say or go its ur decision no one can make it for u ok everyone has their own destiny, he already choose his so it up to u now to make ur decision so chose wisely its one that will be apart for life like wise ur boyfriend cheating on u .

You don't. Not in a snap, anyway, and often not for many years. Some times not ever. You just gradually become interested in and in love with someone else, often with out realizing it at first, or even with out knowing the reason. Forgive the guy, young lady, the cheating might not have been his idea. Plus it might have simply been a wrong assumption.

You can't just stop loving someone overnight!! No matter what that person did to you, if you really love them, that feeling just doesn't go away like that!! The best thing to do (if you are serious) is to not talk to that person and stay away, go out with friends (even if you don't want to), just stay busy and keep ypour mind off that person. Time heals everything!!

I am also trying to fall out of love.
Tell yourself that the person you fell in love with when you met them is a different person who doesn't exist anymore. The cheater is someone you don't know and don't want to know. Keep the image of your love the way you were in your memory, drop the cheater and move on. Good luck.

What a jerk! I am sorry. just don't forget about what he did to you and remind yourself that you deserve so much better. try not to think about the good times you had together. it's probably better not to see him or talked to him for a while. it's hard but you will find someone better!good luck babe
