I agree with Texelgirl - I also thought of Phlegm ... though I did think the Mington bit was pretty cool - perhaps you could put something else in front of it or just call him MINTON ... after all isn't there some posh china ware known as Minton?

Or name him BELENUS - its the Druid equivalent of the God Apollo & his name means radiance. A white poodle, with the sun behind him lighting up his fur could look pretty radiant.

Still on the gods theme - if you do get a girl - howabout BOANNAN? She was an Irish River Goddess who was supposed to ease tension, brighten moods & bring occasional good luck.

However, if you fancy a French sort of name, then why not try this site - it has names for both boys & girls - the page is currently linked to the boy dog names:

to be honest i think of Phlem in the throat when i hear Flemington. Especially a fully white poodle. Maybe Remington or Lexington would be neater. Sorry its just the first thing that popped into my mind.

i'm sorry, yet i bypass to dogs training instructions often with regularly occurring poodles and none of them as 'snooty'. All are friendly, outgoing (large) obedience canines. The breed replaced into bred to be a water retriever. i'm uncertain the place this air of superiority comes from (yet you're able to do the dogs extra harm than stable, with the consequences of making use of this way of call). Why no longer do what maximum dogs training books advise & choose for a one or 2 syllable call ending in the "Y" or "IE" sound?

no! no it is not. do not name your dog that, it will hate you forever and possibly bite your head off. what would you call it for short? "Come here flemmy! flem! you fuzzy little ball of flem!"
phleghm - if that is how you spell it, is what you get in your throat when your sick. it makes you sound nasal and chaauuaaaaaaa. gross.

DONT DO IT!
