It might depend on whether the arrest had been for possession(lesser) or for possession with the intent to distribute the drug(bad business), the other circumstances surrounding the charges such as whether he resisted arrest or assaulted police officers and whether or not he was clean and how long he was clean. If he still hung out with the people in the drug scene, the answer would be NO!
If he had new, clean friends, a steady job, and a sober lifestyle after serving his sentence, the answer would be MAYBE.

Not me. No way. I detest drugs, I've never done them, and I have 5 kids to raise. I'm sorry, but no matter what drug it is, it more likely that the person would end up back on the junk a few more times before they actually quit for good. (No offense if this Q is about yourself). Life is too short to be handing out second chances to everyone. Some of us may say no way, but there are some who will say "SURE" ...

Well - it would depend how long ago it was - and whether or not he had turned his life around. Does he still use or sell drugs? Does he work in a respectable job? Is he doing selfless volunteer work in some way? If he has an addiction, did he seek help for it - and does he follow the program? Everybody deserves a second chance - but unfortunately (for him) - since I'm not stupid - his past would require him to prove himself to me.

It depends...personally..if it was my own boyfriend...then i'd stay with him and support him ..and help him get over it..if he hasnt already...
and even though it would stress me heaps if he keeps on doing it..i would stay by him until he recovered..supporting him ect..i know i would..because we've been through alot together..and i wouldnt let this mess up get in the way of our relationship.
But if it was some guy who i'd just meet..and had a thing on...and then one day at a date he decides to open up about his past and what he's done... then probably not...that would also be depeding on how long ago it was..and if i thought he was still doing it or not.

Ya, i think so. I'd probably need to know that he's over and through with that, though, and that he'd definitely changed, because that would be a lot put on my shoulders in a relationship, but I believe that trials are sent to make us stronger, and people are human-meaning that nobody's perfect. People deserve 2nd, and hey, sometimes 3rd 4th 5th etc chances.

i personally wouldnt be interested at all but its really the personality of the person that you look for. if this guy were someone jsut perfect for a girl & he was very honest with her, then things could work out. he should definitely change his ways though.

As long as he os no longer involved in that kind of activity, but I wouldn't mention it on a first date. Wait until she gets to know you and like you then if things get serious let her know, not too serious in case she has a problem with it, you don't want to get your heart broken.
