I have had a child, but do not have a tattoo. I dont really think it was THAT bad... and I had no meds, and had some problems (kid has a big head!)

No it is not ... depending on where you get the tattoo and the size of the tattoo
Examples per my expierence ...
anything in the following areas can be very painful but NOT worse than child birth ;
1) shoulder blade , upper / lower / mid back
2) anywhere there may be an outstanding bone ... ( wrist , foot , knee just examples the needle will hit the bone )
3) breast bone or center of chest
4) any say facial tattoos
5) top of the hand
6) hips ( if you are slendar and have bones pertruding )
7) ribs ...

Least painful places ;
1) Legs
2) ankles
3) thighs
4) breast area
5) stomach
6) neck
7) arms , forearms

These are just ideas ...

the pain is generally a tingleing mabey somewhat burning feeling. In general you either love it or hate it to be honest it varies on the persons pain tolerance in general ...

No - not even close! I've had 2 kids, the pain was much greater than a tattoo. I was terrified of getting a tattoo because I hate needles, but it really wasn't that bad. I actually thought the pain directly after receiving the tattoo was worse, it felt like I had rug burn. The tattoo artist advised me that some tattoo parlors offer local anesthesia for tattooing if you are really concerned about pain.

Come on now - do you understand what you're saying???? You're saying that an experience of pain that a MAN can endure could possibly be worse than the worst most intense pain possible in the human experience which was only given to women because we're strong enough to handle it. Trust me, if getting a tattoo was more painful than childbirth - certainly no man would ever get one!!!

That is an almost laughable comparison! A tattoo is a minor stinging feeling. With natural childbirth, you will pray for death several times.

the pain of a tatto is like a mosqito bite compared to childbirth!!! c-section or natural.
Tattoo's hurt a little for the first few minuts and then its more of an anoying numbness.

HELL NO. I just got my first one tonight, I was sooooo nervous. I have had a natural childbirth as well. The tattoo was almost a joke, really hardly any pain. Granted- I didn't get it in a "painful" area (on my upper arm). Just go for it.

I am a male with no tatoos but I zipped my ding-dong head into my jeans when I was a child and my wife and I have discussed this subject on which hurts worse. I am glad I am a man. Carroll Burnette described childbirth as "Grab hold of your bottom lip: And pull it over your head."

No way! During childbirth you poo, pee and push a child out at the same time! During a tattoo you just say "OW" a little.

Been through both a number of times. No. Childbirth is far worse.

Getting a tattoo feels like getting a cat scratch on a sunburn. It hurts, but it's not nearly as painful as passing a fully formed human being through your vagina.

Ouch.
