Best thing for split ends is stopping the chemical process causing it.
Sorry, but you would probably be much more happy with your hair if you accept it as it is and work with it towards good health and shine rather than straightening.
Go to a reputable hairdresser/cutter/stylist who will show you how to work WITH your hair rather than against it!

The outermost layer of the hair - the cuticle is destroyed and a hair strand splits into 2 or 3 strands.Hair should be trimmed regularly, at least once in six weeks. Longer hair is more likely to develop split ends. After shampooing and conditioning the hair, apply a drop of olive oil on the hair and comb the hair so that it spreads evenly.More details at the link below.

Babies are born with split ends ,not too many people know this fact. There are different products on the market to rid you of this problem, infusium for example it is a hair repair product. The way these products work is.. it is like a glue to camoflague your split ends by sealing the ends of the hair together, leaving your hair silky soft and smooth. The only way to really get rid of split ends is to have your hair trimmed regularily by a stylist or hair dresser every month ,condition your hair regularily, and perhaps finding a gentler hair brush would solve the frizz problem, probably due to breakage.I hope you try some of these products like frizz be gone ect.

Just make sure that you get your hair cut whenever you start noticing that your getting split ends. Dont let them grow to long cause then when you do get your hair cut, youll have to cut off a whole bunch and i hate when that happens. if the problem still continues then try to blow dry your hair with a round brush instead of straightening it.

Well the best thing to do for split ends is to always keep them moist. They would start to spilt, like lips, if they do not remain moist, they start to crack. And do not let them be dry, always use a moistureizer. And try using Profective Split Ender, its a moisturizer that i would strongly reccomend. Cutting your ends can help, but not if your ends will always be dry. You will always be cutting your ends no matter what in that case.

i understand what you mean about having to straighten your hair, i feel the same way, i heard sunsilk hydra TLC and neutrogena triplee moisture are good, but haven`t tried them yet, i` m also still looking for the perfect conditioner. for when you get out of the shower try rubbing just a dime size amount of frizz cream on your hair. good luck
