My favorite tattoo is is a carousel horse and lollipop on my forearm. It's in memory of my dad. The best times we spent together were at Pier 39, a boardwalk type place in San Francisco. We'd always ride the carousel and then on the way home he'd buy me one of those huge multi-colored lollipops.

i don't really have a favorite tattoo in general. i like to see people with unique art, fun stuff. i have a tattoo of a box and a cookie, to me that is fun. i have other friends with tattoos that are not "the norm" like candles and donkeys and meat. it's fun and more interesting than "the same old thing".
as for placement, pretty much anywhere on the body can look great tattooed. BUT i have my feet tattooed and i love them but they were by far the most painful tattoos i have ever gotten.

As someone with a discreet tattoo; thoughtful of you to comment on Mustang's posting, but I would regard his comments just as embassy staff regard those who defend them. In need of a night class or two; if too lazy to do that; then worth a few dollars to stand in the same place all their lives - which is what they are being paid a few dollars, after all, to do. My experience is that most people limit themselves and then try to put others down to regularise themselves. Why bother? Do what you can, and credit yourself.

this is actually pretty funny because my favorite tattoo is the cheapest/quickest/most random one i have. it's a Pennsylvania tattoo, but it's just the letters PA in kind of a combined design. it's definently my favorite as of right now, and my newest...but i've only got 4 other ones besides it, so it might change some day!

I have a strand of ivy around my ankle. It looks amazing when I am swimming. All I can think of is a water nymph, it looks so mythical, yet it is pretty small and tasteful. It did hurt, I won't lie. But it wasn't terrible. It was like having blood drawn and the needle moves a little bit.

so far, i only have 1 tattoo, but am saving for more. my one is on my ankle, and is a tribal sun with a scorpion in it. i like it, but after 6 years, i want more! my next one will either be large wings on my back, or a domino with angel wings (tribute to grandma). since the domino will be cheaper, it'll probably be first. i always wanted one on my foot, but i wear boots to work, so there wouldn't be any time to let it heal.

My favorite is my celtic butterfly on the back of my neck. I'm just about the only person in the world that can tell its a butterfly... everyone else just thinks its a really cool design... but I love the design AND the location. I wish I had gotten it bigger.

I would probably get a tattoo of a skull on my arm like right below my shoulder.
