Jesus said, "Many will call me Lord, Lord, but I will say,'Depart from me, I knew you not'"?

If Jesus is God, how can He not know them? What did He mean by this statement?

Jesus himself answers this in his own statement --- In Matthew 7:21, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

It is obvious that not all professed Christians are "saved", here he tells us that it is the one doing the will of the Father. Saying you are a Christian doesn't cut it, doing the will of God is.

Interestingly, Jesus here makes a distiction between himself and the Father, why didn't he say MY will --- another testament against the false teaching of the Trinity.

Jesus meant that if someone chooses not to be associated with him in life, He will not claim them when it is time to bring them into Heaven. Imagine you knew someone who never spoke to you. When asked if he was a friend of yours he would say, "No", yet would call you to bail him out of jail.
