Depends on your taste. If you like a deep, rich beer; that along with (maybe) samual adams is probably the easiest to find. My personal opinion is that miller guenine draft is the best. its got a light flavor, so even people who don't care much for beer (such as myself) can not only stomach it, but actually enjoy the taste. Honestly, stick to what you know. Nobodys opinion could actually co-inside with yours; so you will probably waste a lot of money, and tastebuds, figuring it out.

Absolutely not. Maybe I'm going way deeper than you want, but the best beers are typically from the Trappist or microbreweries. Trappist beers are from Belgium (one in the Netherlands) and there are only a handful of breweries that are legally allowed to call their beer Trappist. The best Trappist is Westvleteren Abt 12.
Guinness is a stout of sorts, but the best stouts (and thus some of the best beers in the world) are:
Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout
AleSmith Speedway Stout
Bell's Expedition Stout
Founder's Breakfast Stout
The best IPAs are from Three Floyds, Russian River and AleSmith.
Other amazing breweries, from which almost any beer is way better than any macrobrewery beer:
Rogue (Oregon)
New Holland (Michigan)
Dogfish Head (Delaware)
Stone (California)
Kuhnhenn (Michigan)
