I find it more unpatriotic that Ford and Chevy make their cars in foreign countries and try to call themselves American. But my statement only reflects on the top managment of those companies.

Hey Dave C - I say F**K the "American" Companies that send the jobs to other countries so they don't have to pay Americans. That's taking jobs away from Americans. Even though Toyota is a Japanese company, they have brought jobs to America, where WE AMERICANS need them. They are putting money into the AMERICAN economy as well. So get yourself straight on the facts before you start saying F**K Toyota.

Here is where your cars are being made:

Chevy Monte Carlo: Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
Dodge Charger: Brampton, Ontario, Canada
Ford Fusion: Hermosillo, Mexico

And your Toyota Camry: Georgetown, Kentucky, USA

The only thing that's Japanese about that car is the badge on the front grille...and just because Toyota's headquarters are in Japan while Ford, Chevy and Dodge's are here in America doesn't mean that the Camry is any less American. I've driven one before and I'll be the first to say that it's a damn good car, no matter what it is or where it was made.

And to you Dave C - I would've expected something from an uneducated hick like yourself. Don't mean to be harsh cause that's what you are...but please, do us all a favor and don't pollute the boards with any more nonsense.

Thinking of it being unpatriotic to drive a foreign car in todays world is extremely outdated. Toyota is building autos in the U.S. and employing U.S. workers while the big 3 are going under and laying off thousands. Sure, I'd like it better if U.S. automakers were doing well, but it's not the case. Toyota is thriving and is capitalizing on it's success and nascar which is also thriving is a great media market for them to advertise their brand. There is no patriotism involved just business.

No, that is like saying that all americans who drive a toyota or whatever else there is are unpatriotic. Toyota is just a type of car in a car race and Jarrett just happens to be driving for them. i personally don't care what type of car the drivers drive, i just want to watch my favorite drivers and hope they do good.

No. Dale Jarrett said it loud and clear, Toyota supplies jobs for thousands of americans. Sure the car was developed in Japan but is built in the States. I think what that guy said about f'u'c'k toyota is unpatriotic

I think it's great for the sport and somebody always has to be the first one to venture into unknown territory like Jarrett is doing with Toyota.
Until I see an all Japanese pit crew and driver then I'll say something about the invasion of the Japanese to NASCAR........this sport is still American-bred.......

No. It's the same as eating pizza, or spaghetti. Is that being unpatriotic by eating foods that were not invented here in the U.S? I don't hear anyone throwing a fit over that, so why over a vehicle brand that originated from another country?

I love Toyota's anyway, so I'm open to them being in NASCAR, it's actually good they are, it will open up the sport to more eyes and draw more attention.

Like maximum activities; NASCAR Drivers look to love going out onto the hyperlinks.....golf; even as they are not thrilling tens of millions. virtually each and every driving force that has a starting up position hosts a golf adventure and maximum all Drivers have a club to a rustic club. i recognize both Gordon and Junior love football and performance been considered at video games. Gordon and Kennseth were at multiple baseball video games. Kasey Kahne has been talked about at Safeco container (homestead of the Mariners) a lot. i recognize Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon have a love for racing outdoors of NASCAR. both are huge followers of F1 and WRC Racing.

Absolutly not, like someone else said, DJ even said tht Toyota is providing jobs here in the US to Americans, where as Ford, Chevy & Dodge have most of their vehicles built outside of the US. And for the guy who had his anti Toytoa rant, I have only owned GM & Chrysler products, but I have nothing against Toytota being in NASCAR, becase as someone else said the only thing on those cars not American is the name on the car, otherwise think about it, Toyota provides more jobs building cars in the US for Americans than GM, FORD & CHRYSLER combined!!!

Pretty sad when the big 3 have to send jobs outside of the US just to save a buck. Also Toyota isn't unionized. That's a big reason why the big 3 have most of their cars built outside of the US, so they don't have to deal with the unions.

no. I think the toyota camry is the only car still built in the united states so everybody else could be called unpatriotic for driving a car not built in the unisted states.
