Mainly because of socialized healthcare.
Most healthcare is free, including dentistry, however, it's almost impossible to get a dentist on the NHS (National Health Service in the UK), and the cost of going private is prohibitive to most people so oral healthcare tends to be ignored until pain kicks in.

Perhaps its socialised medicine. Probably have a 2 year wait to get into a dentist and have to be referred by a general doctor for specialist treatment. Maybe we can expect the same once Hillary becomes President. That is unless you die waiting to recieve some other medical treatment before you live long enough to have dental problems.

Probably because they're not as maniacally obsessed with physical attractiveness as Americans are. Which is good for them, bad for Americans.
