Abstinence from sexual intercourse does not have to exclude masturbation and self stimulation to orgasm. Abstinence from sex does exclude foreplay because sex is centered in the mind as well as in the reproductive organs. If someone else is involved in stimulating physical pleasure, it is still sexual and foreplay is a part of sex even if it does not lead to intercourse. The unity of more than one person in the act causes a need for that individual to participate and a demand for fulfillment. It can thereby, cause the same physical addiction brought about by sexual intercourse. For that reason it cannot be considered abstinence.

Only to a certain point and if you let things go passed that point it will be all over. Many girls start out just "messing around" and before they know it the boy has hit home base.
The best thing is to keep your clothes on, limit his hand and yours and remain a "good" girl.
Never under estimate the power of the sex urge. Girls have a "breaking over" point and so do the boys except a boys "breaking over" point ends up with almost an animal instinct and is very hard for him to stop. He almost becomes pocessed. Do NOT push a young man too far!!!
Good luck. Pops

I would think so, when they say consummate the marriage there actually referring to having sex...if you haven't then it should be considered abstinence even if there was some foreplay..my opinion only.

Kissing, making out--stuff like that, yeah. It's dangerous, of course. I mean, if you're trying to remain a virgin, that's not the easiest way to do it. It can be hard to have that barrier of "not going too far" when you've gone as far as making out.

Most likely it is okay. It really depends on how far are you going with the absitence idea. It means different to different people.

depends on why they are abstinent.
If they are abstaining due to religious beliefs, then they probably won't do those thing.
IF they are abstaining to avoid pregnancy, they probably will.
