One of the fastest way to solve this problem, is to clear the Poo immediately, however training is the best solution to this problem
Do you know that you can train your jrt even at this age and training does not need to take a long time.
It is important that you start your Dog Training Correctly and Effectively. If you do that, you can see the change in less than 7 Days.
Training him to understand that eating poo will get him something bad.... and the right discipline might change his behavior very fast.

You can get a product called FOR-BID to sprinkle on his food. Most vets carry it or you can order it on line.
An alternative..... In the spice isle of the grocery store, buy a large shaker of "ACCENT" sprinkle 1/4 of a teaspoon of it over his food twice a day for 5 days. After that, back it off to once a day for 5 days.
Fecal matter should be cleaned up, but we have 5 fenced acres, so it is difficult to find every pile. Both of the above work great.

When the dog has been to the toilet immediately call him to you with a treat, tell him he is good for coming and not eating the poo. clean the poo up so he can't eat it later. after a while after he has done something he should come to you and not eat it.
(i got this from my aunt who had the same problem with her dog, the only problem was he got smart and figured out that if he stopped in the middle of going to the toilet he would get a treat for going to her, then he would finish and get another treat.)

Dogs have very efficient digestive tracks. They often can get nutrition out of "poo". One reason they do that is because they are not getting enough to eat. It is however, unusual for a dog to eat his own "poo." I suggest you double check what you are feeding your dog. Puppy food is indicated up to 1 year of age. If you are feeding adult food or just relying on table scraps, it is quite likely your dog is not getting all the nutrition he needs.

NEVER rub a dogs nose in it, that is usually what causes this problem. Praise him when he toilets and give him treats so he doesn't want to hide it.

clean it up so he cant eat it, or if he is outside eating it, have him on a leash and when he goes near it and tries to eat it, jerk the leash so he knows to get away from it and not eat it.
