Tire reef off Florida proves a disaster.

We've literally dumped millions of tires in our oceans," said Jack Sobel, an Ocean Conservancy scientist. "I believe that people who were behind the artificial tire reef promotions actually were well-intentioned and thought they were doing the right thing. In hindsight, we now realize that we made a mistake."

What do you mean "never learn from thier mistakes" they did it, realized it was a problem and stopped. If they relized it was a problem and started it again somewhere else then you could say they never learn from thier mistakes.

How did you draw an analogy between the reef and global warming? My understanding is that global warming is caused by the production of carbon dioxide.

But in the overall sense would it not be more prudent and conserve resources than continue at the current rate of depletion? Are you suggesting that you have evidence that cleaning up the mess of the enivormentalists will be catastorphic?
