I think its a little unfair for IROC to be run on NASCAR tracks. Even though the cars are all the same etc. the NASCAR drivers has some more experience on those tracks than the non NASCAR drivers. I know IROC probabl has a very good reason for not having races on tracks that non of he drivers know. But dont you think its slightly unfair for the IROC series to race on tracks that NASCAR races on the most?

well there is no IROC race this year because lack of sponsorship.
yes u are right, most of these IROC races are raced on nascar tracks.
but yet,if i am not mistaken,INDY was one of the tracks last year.
you see,INDY cars race at homestead, texas, millwakee, michigan, california, just to name a few, same tracks nascar races on.
i think the big thing,or differance, is actually the cars.the open wheel guys are not used to racing the cars with fenders on them.
so no i dont think it is unfair at all.
it is just different cars.

IROC,,,International Race Of Champions was started back in the early 70's,,I believe in 1975-76,,was intended to bring the best of the best together,,to be raced on an oval track along with a road course for the Indy drivers,,,to make it interesting I feel they should also make them race on a dirt track,,and to make it fair,,they have raced Chevys and Dodge's,Pontiac's,,how about some Ford's,,like the Mustang?? Oh I'm sure the next car will be some damn Jap car!!

I do not think it is unfair at all.
The drivers commit to these races knowing the cars are all the same even though they may not be familiar with the track, plus, you have to factor in the money they make for just starting one of these races.
From a racing fans prospective, they are exciting races to watch, no matter who might be driving a pink, lime green, or baby blue colored car.

I absolutely loved the IROC races. On January 9, 2007 IROC announced that the opening of the 2007 season would be delayed until a major underwriting sponsor could be found. I sure hope some corporation steps up before the entire season is cancelled. Crown Royal (a canadian blended whiskey) ended their sponsorship, wouldn't it be great if american bourbon whiskey maker Jack Daniel's picked up the tab?

Yeah, and they are driving actual cars and open wheel drivers don't have as much experience on them either.
