I will not dignify your question with an answer. I will, however; state that I am most displeased to find that while I am risking my life for the freedom of speech, there are people out there using that freedom to spout useless drivel from the safety of there computer terminals and then have the nerve to call themselves champions of democracy. If I were to run into you in a dark ally, I'd give you a very dirty look, but nothing more, because you have your freedom of speech, actually, I might resort to a bit of name calling.

Daisy....actually, he did mean it to offend the troops and anyone who supports them. If you view his previous questions, he's always bashing the military, especially the Marines. He's laughed many times over their deaths. For this reason, he's been suspended and changed ID's. He's a very bitter man who needs serious help. He's been caught in many MANY lies on here about his previous/current jobs and posting false articles, which people post the actual article to prove where he's changed it to get people to support him. So sorry Daisy, but he does mean it to hurt the troops and he relishes in their deaths.
Erudite....I suggest you remember for every soul dying over there, it keeps America safe another day. They're over there protecting your freedoms. Whether in your ignorance you want to admit it or not, if we weren't fighting on foreign soil, we'd be getting attacked on our own. For that, I'm sure you'd turn your yellow tail and run.
There have been no lies. The lies are created by people like Erudite and our biased media. The troops on the ground really know what's happening and they know what their job is and why they're there. The only thing that will bring them home is more support so they can finish the job they started. Pulling out now only dishonors those that have given their lives to protect the US and bring freedom to the Iraqi people. Dispite what you see on the news, the Iraqis do want us there and cheer us each day. Unfortunately, only bad news makes the news. Unless you live it, you'll never know what good is being done. So no, "troops biting the dust" doesn't make me happy, nor should it anyone else.

I have grave news today concerning the war (now, this might be the worst news in years about circumstances on the ground in Iraq): American and Iraqi forces are cracking down in Baghdad -- even as Democrats here are trying to undermine the troop surge that President Bush has ordered.
Shi'ite militiamen -- who just weeks ago were openly roaming the streets, armed to the teeth -- are in hiding, and have ditched their weapons. Some have even left the city. One of Mookie al Sadr's guys told the press that his gang had been given orders to stand down if American and Iraqi forces impose tight security on the city.
Now, this is no small matter, my friends, since Mookie's militia is considered one of the main obstacles to quelling the violence in Baghdad. Mookie himself, the head honcho of this gang, has reportedly fled to Iran. Shi'ite officials have told the press that Mookie's guys want to avoid a battle so they can protect their political seats in the Iraqi government.
And there's more news: Iraq's government has closed its borders with Iran and Syria. And despite Democrats here claiming that Iraqis are against the troop surge, their government is assuring Islamic nations that the surge and security plan now underway will work; that it will help end the sectarian violence.
The war is not lost. Iraqis are optimistic. The enemy is fleeing. This thing can be won! All is not hopeless...which is horrible news for the Democrats, as I told you at the beginning.

i am not going to delete my answer due to the fact that what I said I believe. HOWEVER for the guy who posted the question if what what my fellow answerer said is true and you DID mean to laugh at the troops dying over there, if it ever comes to the point of drafting again I hope your number comes up first, maybe then you will show a little respect. If you have intended to ridicule the men and woman out there fighting I do not hate you i feel sorry for you. You clearly lack a lot in life most importantly ou lack compassion. I feel for your family because it is clear that you do not know what uncondiational love is and if heaven forbid you ever have children I feel bad for them because they have a horrible role model that does not know the first thing abou tlove, life or decency!
For the girl who commented saying that he is an idiot for asking the question I understand where you were coming from but disagree with 100%. I do not htink he meant it to offend anyone who is ober there fighting I htink it was meant more of a when will the lies stop and the men come home safe.
I happen to agree with him, this war is nothing more then a made up reason for Bush to fight his daddy's battle. The men and women are fighting for his father and that is not what they signed up to do. It is sad for all American people that Bush has put everyone in such danger because he is fighting a personal vendetta. Everyday I thank all the men and woman that are out there fighting, but I wish it were under different circumstances. What has this war accomplished other then a lot of death that did not need to be. INstaed of thinking about the well being of American citizans Bush is sending all the money over to Iraq instead of working on health care, eduacation and other needed things.
I am saddened each day that passes where I hear more troops are going over as opposed to the men and women are coming home. I hope it ends soon but as long as he is in office it will continue to go on!

To the Ozzie - Good on ya mate! Next pint's on me.
To the questioner - Never happy to see US casualties. Happy to see they're inflicting over 100x as many casualties on the enemy.
Unhappy to see Democrats trying again to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory - Saw a great slogan online: "SUPPORT THE TROOPS! LET THEM WIN!"
Also very unhappy to see highly uneducated and obviously ignorant people like you posting questions like this. It demonstrats how VERY uniformed you are and how VERY uneducated you obviously are.
Try reading Michael Yon, or Bill Roggio, or go read BlackFive's site, or read most any Milblog and get the real picture. Get out of the coffee house, stop smoking that weed and learn something.
EDIT: Philip, that's very rude to use facts to a liberal. They're allergic you know.
