No it isn't. These groups are comprised of imperfect people, so I cut them a lot of slack, but I don't believe they are exemplifying the answer to the question, "What Would Jesus Do?" My impression is that they have taken an approach to Christianity that is too legalistic. Jesus never told his disciples to do a regime change in Palestine, never told them to throw off the yoke of Roman oppression and nowhere in scripture do I see us being told to seek positions in the portals of power and retake planet earth under theocratic rule. One thing that prohibits the church from living out the gospel is the contemporary doctrine that people are poor and sick and needy because they aren't Christians, and so meeting their needs is superseded by the political agendas that these groups feel are more important. It saddens me, but it was also foretold in the Bible (2 Timothy 3 and the book of Jude, e.g.) that the church would take this detour, and I believe they do at least as much harm as good.

...Is any movie an accurate portrayal of anything? The answer is no - it represents the skewed ideas of the producer, director, etc. Very, very movies tell an honest and true story.
