God at His weakest is stronger than man at his strongest. The most foolish thing God can do is wiser than the greatest wisdom of Man. Man has nothing of value compared to God.

"Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption" (1 Corinthians 25:30).
That's basically God's method. He is so strong that He decided to demonstrate His strength by using the weakest, least popular to accomplish His will . . . and He accomplishes it. THAT is how powerful this great God is. He can give 6.5 billion humans free will all at once and He never stops being sovereign over all, never has His will threatened at all.
Paul was explaining to the Corinthians why there seemed to be so many politically weak and economically poor in the church. The answer is that the ones in the church are whom Jesus calls, and Jesus calls those who won't have anything about them that will cause them to claim that the work was one speck done by themselves. God gets all the glory, or never mind.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. -1 Corinthians 1:25
It always helps to quote it. It means that if God had weak or foolish moments (not really) that he would still be stronger and wiser than any human. Kinda like the saying, "Ive forgotten more about (blank) than you have ever known."

The carnal man cannot understand spiritual things - so God uses ordinary people who the intellect and scholars of this world scoffs at, to bring his plan and purpose into being. God has to use people who can trust and believe in him for who he is, not people who trust in their senses, because it is not by might nor by power but by God's Spirit that things would come into place. Alot more has to go into to those verses, there is no time here.

Trusting in your own understanding without God will result in you being deceived and lost for eternity. Humans who think they are so smart really are dumb.

"Human wisdom is so tinny, so impotent, next to the seeming absurdity of God. Human strength can't begin to compete with God's 'weakness.'"

By contrast, we are shown how great God is. His supposed "worst" is fat better than our best. God's infinite qualities and ultimate goodness are beyond our comprehension.
