i have highlights in my hair and i know there are alot of people who dye thier hair,someone said if u do it all the time that its not good for your health.

most of the time, when applied correctly, bleaching agents should be done off the scalp. Pigments, dyes & chemicals in the colors & peroxide will obviously get onto your scalp but agents that have been proven to be carcinogenic are banned in products sold in the US.
that being said, I've never heard of a direct link to hair color as being the result of someone's cancer (not to say that it's never happened) - I've never known anyone like that....and i've been in the hair business for almost 20 years.

i agree with jen k i have been doing hair for quite some time also and have been coloring my hair since i was 12 and im 45 and my doctors have told me i have no signs of cancer i was diagonesed with melanoma 7 years ago but no cancer and i get checked every 6 months

the chemicals in the hairproducts and dyes could get on your scalp and cause mutations, therefore casuing cancer

To be honest with these days anuthing can give you cancer all you have to do is be careful b/c we dont know wat people put in watever we eat or use.
