Well if your cat goes out he might have gotten in a fight and hit his nose, causung him to get an infection OR if your cat stays indoors it probly just infected of some reason, EATHERWAY take him too a vet, better have a professional take a look at it.... hope i helped good luck

If it fought with something it could have gotten an illness from the cut. Or it feels threatened and is trying to regain its territory. They make feline comfort spray, also catnip can make it feel better. If its male and unaltered, then they spray as a matter of course, and its best to have them altered.
Make sure the litter is always clean, they also make 'attract' litter, that makes them want to use it.

I don't know about the cut, but when my (fixed male) cat started peeing everywhere it was because he had a severe urinary tract infection. Examine the urine & see if it looks odd. Cats usually act out of character like that when they are trying to express that there is something wrong that they want you to know about.

sounds like your cat is comming into maturity and has been outside fighting and got his nose smacked and is now spraying his territory marking it as his. time for a trip to the vets to get neutered. .it will save you alot of pain and anguish and unwanted kittens if you get this done asap.male cats fight and lose ears and get diseases when running loose unneutered. there are some low cost spay and neuter places

It may have gotten outside. It may have gotten in a fight with a stray cat. If both those assumtions are true, it may have rabies or some other communicable cat disease. I suggest it's about time to see the vet.
