After receiving my o'level results, my L1R5 was 16 and L1R4 was 13. My english result was a horror as i got a C6. After much considering and consultations, i decided to opt for the poly route since i strongly feel that i will suffer in JC because of GP and Chinese and i did not like the subjects taught in JC (as i went for the first three months). I chose poly because i feel that i'll be able to gain experience and this will help me to get a job easily or further my studies. My friends & teachers were shocked that i had chosen poly instead of JC since my results qualify me to a JC. Had i made a wrong choice or am i too worried about what my peers and teachers had to say?

Definitely not! In fact myself and quite a number of friends did what you have done and some even get into local uni. I think if you have already decided what you want, then just follow your heart. It's your life so just do what you want with no regrets and ignore what your teachers and peers have said. In poly it is not that stress and you need not to study those subjects that you don't like so why not?

Lots of students with As in many subjects opt for Poly too, in fact, Poly are deemed to be a better option for most people nowadays particularly employers who favour Poly students to local U grads, check it out, it was reported in the papers not too long ago.
