No you don't need a passport --- IF --- you are an american citizen., if you are from other country sure you will need to show passport or credencials. Puerto Rico is an US territory since 1898 they have an administrative goverment very corrupt indeed and they use american currency, dollars. They have 7% tax and the touristic area is very .. i mean very expensive, easily one night at the Condado Plaza $300.00dls. one beer $7.00 and so on. * Tip , keep your money on the hotel safe.

lol I was thinkng the same thing.

I dont believe you need a passport to go to Puerto Rico as it is an American territory.

not to a us territory but it is a good idea to get one to go to neighboring islands.
