I'm hoping to sneak a small, 7 oz. plastic bottle of vodka on the airplane in my luggage. Does anyone know if it will show up or be clear on the x-ray machine? Thanks!

just buy it on the plane. although expensive, you won't risk getting caught with 7oz. of vodka.

hahah im glad to learn its just alcohol for drinking, and not a plastic gun. the vodka bottle wouldnt on the old ones but im told the new ones see everything. i have a plastic piece of a heplock (IV) left in my hand from an old medical procedure that has never showed on a medical x-ray, but did on an airport scan. i think they should make thier machines available to the medical profession instead fo wasting so many on a realitively small threat area, while people suffer medically due to lesser technology in hospitals. maybe we can actually gain something from all this heightened awareness of and exaggerated fear and the threat of the unknown. weve lost so much: bottled water, fingernail, clippers, aftershave, babys formula, privacy, and the list goes on and on. my fiancee asked if she can bring formula for her baby on the plane, and i am ashamed to say i have no idea. im afrad the baby will be malnourished one way and my fiancee arrested the other. i told her she would have to ask the airline and if they say no her baby may go 24 hours without eating. so maybe if they dont allow it if they have any solution however expensive. its a sad state of affairs, for travelers and it seems it will only get worse, til after the election, and im not too optimistic about positive change even then after the precident is so established.
but back to the vodka. i wonder more about your inability to make a trip without it, to the point of risking arrest just to have your drink. they sell it on the flights, hahahaha. just ask the stewardess.

I think they'll be able to tell you have a bottle and they'll be VERY suspicious.. Even if they can't tell, they can probably randomly search your carry on. And if they see you with it on the plane they might get angry.

I don't think it is worth the risk, can't you just buy vodka when you get there? or just not drink on the plane ride
