what works good is a seramic hair staight iron because they don't break your hair and it doesn't dry your hair out either but some of them could be pricey

Ask around and get a high-quality straightener, like a Maxi Glide, which I have. I have really curly hair and this thing works miracles. Let the iron be heating while you blow dry your hair. After it has dried, ALWAYS use a heat taming spray so that hair doesn't damage in the heat of the straightener. Never press the straightener too hard or pull too fast; it could either pull out your hair or rip it. When you've finished straightening, use the Matrix Biolage frizz serum, but use just a small amount. It makes hair look greasy if too much is used. When that has soaked in, spray a leave-in conditioner like ThermaSilk and comb through too distribute it evenly. It leaves hair o so smooth! When that has finished, spray a very small amount of hairspray so that the style holds. Also, as a pointer, the more you straighten your hair, the sooner you'll need to get hair trimmings. Straightening hair often causes split ends. <3

hi fellow hair straightener the best thing that works for me because straightening your hair can be damaging, is to wash your hair at night befor going to bed let it dry on its own and in the morning when you get up straighten it . its better then blow drying it and its less frizz to worry about too. and also buy a good straightner they can be expensive but those truly are the best take it from a girl with really curly frizzy hair but you would never know cause my hair is so straight good luck!

Let me tell ya!!!!!!!
I just got mine done today(2/16/07) LITERALLY!
Be careful, if you get it done chemically at a salon, DO YOUR RESEARCH! Or else the consenquences can be devistating. I've been having my hair straightend for many
years now. I used to do it myself till someone said STOP, you'll kill your hair. Lucky enough, I got pretty tough hair. I am caucasion and used african american childrens product (TCB) on it once. Had no problems and it straightened it pretty well, but I was told I was REALLY lucky it didn't totally fry my hair. So any way for advise I use Sedu or Chi brand Ionic Ceramic straightening irons which work GREAT. Or you can go chemical permanent, be careful I got scalp burns on my head as we speak, but if applied well they work WONDERS! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU HOPE THIS HELPS

Ceramic straighteners are the best.

If you use a straightening serum, it can help.

It can also be quicker if you blow dry your hair straight first, then straighten it. That way, if you miss a few strands, everything is still straight.
