We have a bet.... I say you need the same amount of novacaine or the same number of injections because you need to numb the root no matter what procedure you"re doing.... however my girlfriend says you need more injections if you have the root canal.... who wins the bet?

It depends on the person but for the most part people will need a little more anesthesic for a root canal because a good majority of people getting one have some sort of an infection. An infection counteracts the anesthestic and therefore more is needed. But again like I said it just all depends on the peron

More for root canal and need a different needle for deeper penetration.

THE TOOTH NEEDS TO BE NUMB FOR EITHER PROCEDURE AND USUALLY 2 CARTRIDGES OF ANESTHETIC ARE NEEDED FOR EITHER. HOWEVER, CERTAIN CASES MAY NEED A FEW MORE CARTRIGES.
