Loss of blood flow. It sounds gross but the numbness is actually your body letting you know to do something about it! It needs oxygen to be pumped back into the numbing tissue

Could be numb because you are standing on it.
Could be a pinched nerve.
When does it become un-numb.....when you sit down, walk on it or?
There is a possiblity that the numbness isn't reall a problem with the heel but with the back.

Numbness is usually caused by the nerve to that area being affected. For example... if you wake up and your hand is asleep... that is caused by compression of that nerve to your hand.... it's temporary.
