In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

"example: everyone thinks wiccans are devil worshipers when they were foundded before before the theory of satan and dont worship satan"
I'm Wiccan, and I have to correct you on that.
The religion called Wicca has only been around since the 1950's. Certainly we're based on older belief systems (as well as a healthy dose of ceremonial magic, Freemasonry, and the occult revival of the late 1800's), but to say that we were "founded" before Christianity is, as far as I can tell, just plain false.
You're right about us not being Satan/devil worshippers, though. We do not acknowledge the God/Satan cosmology (which Christianity stole from the Zoroastrians anyway). We have no equivalant figure to Satan in our theology. As far as we're concerned, the powers that we work with are Divine powers, aspects of Goddess/God which are beneficial, balanced, and rightly a part of the universe. Also, Wiccans are bound by the Wiccan Rede: "If you harm none, do what you will". We do not curse, or even cause harm if we can reasonably avoid it.
In answer to your actual question... I don't mind people disagreeing with me. Disagreement and discussion are healthy -- they show that peoples' minds are turned on and engaged. What I find hard to tolerate is when people spew total lies about things they think they know something about, when in fact they've got it completely wrong. Take that Satan/devil worshipping thing. Totally false, from a sociological point of view, yet I keep hearing it again and again.

The true test of tolerance lies in tolerating the intolerant. Probably everyone has been guilty at some point of believing something out of sheer ignorance. Just tap into that understanding and then you can see why some people act the way they do. They don't know any better. Education is the only cure for ignorance. As long as they aren't breaking the law, they get all the chances they need to become less ignorant.
It can be frustrating sometimes, maybe. Especially because they passionately spread wrong information. But notice that with every ignorant response, there always seems to be someone there to provide true knowledge. The number of ignorant people is not so large as to be unmanageable.

Tolerance is not really all it is cracked up to be.
For example, say the neighbor man had a really sexual desire for your 6 year old daughter. That is HIS business, right? Who are you to dictate to him what his sexual desires should be? You should be tolerant, right, even though you don't believe that he is right in the head? I think your tolerance would come to a screeching halt the first time he wanted to give her a little rub down. (sorry for the graphic example)
Say your neighbor had a very mean dog. That is his business. It is none of your concern what kind of dog he has, or what he chooses to do with it, right? Until the day it starts chewing your friend's leg off when he walks by. Suddenly your tolerance for the neighbor's choice in dogs diminishes.
Christians have no tolerance for the work of the enemy of God. That means that when we see him devouring you and others like you (who practice deadly religions), we have no tolerance. It will never be OK, will always be an abomination before God, and any Christian who is tolerant of the deadly snares of the enemy will likely be spewed from God's mouth in the final days.
You do not worship Satan. But what you do worship and practice is sent by Satan to keep you from the One True and Holy God. It is the truth, whether you like it or not. And the truth is not tolerant of un-truths....that would impossible.
You can do what you want. But I rebuke the devil who has his claws in you.
Peace

No, I don't like when people do not tolerate other's beliefs. That is actually how I got to the point I am at now (borderline agnostic/Christian---still figuring it out.) I used to go to a particular church which many people gave me a hard time for. They were so convinced that I was wrong and they were right, that I decided to give their religion a shot. After going through several churches, I found out that none of them worked for me, and now I don't participate in any religions.
Of course, the more I mature, the less riled up I get about people making false accusations about other's religions. I simply believe those people are not interested in educating themselves.

I don't think intolerance is fair, so I try to lead by example.
Wiccans are not devil worshipers and more than Pagans are. Both were founded long before Biblical times and neither are evil. In fact, I know some Wiccans and some Pagans who are also Christian.

I'm not fond of it. Even within this thread after people have explained what Wicca is several others have ignored what they had to say and continue to declare it to be devil worship or "dark arts".
When dealing with such people its important to remember they are told by ministers, videos, tracts etc. not to believe anyone when they are speaking of their own religion unless that religion is Christianity. Otherwise they are taught that these people are lost, deceived, and ignorant. It's hard to break away from that kind of conditioning when you are taught you MUST believe this in order to be a Christian.
Its not easy to keep from becoming angry, but it helps to remember these things.

I don't think Wiccans are devil worshippers and I never have. Be careful with that word "everyone". :)
But no, I can't tolerate other people not tolerating other religions. I suppose I'm considered intolerant in this aspect, but oh well. People aren't perfect. ;)

Yes, I can tolerate people who believe in other religions. I personally don't believe in the religion of wiccans. But that doesn't mean I can't tolerate them as people. I just reject their beliefs not the person.

loosen up a sprint. rigidity is a killer. i do no longer think of that the Davinci Code become meant to make relaxing of Christianity. it is in basic terms entertainment! it is extremely no longer even approximately Christianity. have you ever study it? & i don't comprehend why human beings have been disenchanted over the enthusiasm. some human beings in basic terms experience the could dictate what others watch. Hmmm . . .isn't that style of what you're wishing on the subject of the Davinci Code? in easy terms a concept. stay and enable stay human beings.
