things get too bad, get a restraining order. Also, find another bf if you can, guys will often back off if they see you with a guy that they think/know can kick their @$$

I'm assuming that you are not a teenager—if you were, I would get your parents to talk to his parents.

He does have a screw loose. He must be helped to see that obviously you are not the woman that he thought you were, or he wouldn't have to pursue you as he is. He is "right" in being disappointed in you—he would be "right" to see you as not worth his time and pursue his own interests. You may benefit from a counselor coaching you how to do this. Avoidance and non-response is better than heated exchanges which he could find exciting in someway. He is the equivalent of a angry 2 year who wants his mommy.

Be careful with restraining orders as sometimes they make stalkers feel more angry and powerful in being able to bypass them.

But do be careful, these obsessed men can be harmful.

Don't hesitate to seek professional help. Your family might help, if they can keep their cool about the situation. Escalation of his pursuit is not what you want and that often comes from confrontation and the subsequent brooding ruminations.

Take care.

I have been in this same exact situation!!! It only gets worse and worse unless you do something about it, I told him millions of times to leave me alone and he wouldnt and began following me. I talked to his mother, had my brother talk to him. Blocked his number and any number he would call me from..still didnt work. I eventually had to go to the police and the called him and told him that if he tried to contact me or came anywhere near me he would be arrested and the I got a restraining order, then that finally worked. You can try to do some of the things that I did if it isnt to bad yet and see if it works if not the only other way is a restraining order, im telling you from experience, it can get dangerous.

It's simple:: GET A NEW GUY. Find a close guy friend and ask him for "help" or look for the closest crush you've got and hook up. It actually helps you get a guy, but acting desperate and in need of getting rid of the old boyfriend can be overwhelming. If you've got no idea how to claim another boyfriend, then tell the ex-boyfriend that you're gay. It may be embarrassing, but it can get him to leave you alone. He can tell his friends rumors if he wants, but he has absolutely no proof that you told him anything.

Well if your at school go to the principal and explain the situation to him. ALso tell him you will call his parents if he doesn't stop. ANd also tell him you will file charges too if he doesn't stop. AND if none of these things work , just go to the cops and report him and get a restaining order restraining order against him. ANd also carry pepper spray with you and use it if nesscary. But tell him first what your planning on doing so he will know your serious and go with it. Or tell him if he messes with you I will track him down till I find him and he will be sorry he ever messed with you.

O.K. In my opinian this guy is trying to get a little too close even though ya'll aren't together any more. I would tell an adult that you can trust but who will do something about it. weither he needs a good talking to or a secion with a shrink, he needs to leave you alone!! =D

Don't worry, I've been through this as well. Gather your friends around you, tell them it bothers you. Make sure that where you live, people can be around for the next while, and when you go out, your friends are aware he could show up and it will all end soon.
In the future, I think you won't feel angry towards him, you'll just feel sorry for him.
Good luck

Tell him leave you alone or you will call the cops. If threatening him doesn't work, then follow through with it, call the cops, get a restraining order put on him.

Sit him down and give him a personal one-on-one chat. If this dosen't work you need to talk to a parent, counselor, or policeman maybe? Seriously.... stalking is real.... you have ot be careful
