I think I should apologize to my boss and coworker for something that happened at work even though what happened was not my fault. (I'm trying to be diplomatic). I know what I think I should say but I don't know how to say it. Does anyone know a website I can go to so I get get a free sample apology letter? Or can you give me a few lines....(besides I'm sorry). Be Serious Please!!!

My coworker talks to me like I'm 2 years old and the boss allows it. We had an arguement. I 'm a temp. I love the job because it can open more doors for me later and would rather not be reassigned. I don't feel I'm at fault, but being diplomtic may help me in the long run. That's why I want to apologize, but......I'm really not sorry.

Depending on how serious whatever you did or did not intentionally do may be, you might not want a generic "I'm sorry" letter but something more personal that shows hearfelt remorse. I think that your boss and co-worker may know the difference between an apology coming from you and an apology coming from the internet. Why don't you begin writing down how you feel and start there?

If you can, do it in person.
Just some ideas for a faux apology:
I'm sorry for what happened yesterday (whether or not it was really my fault). I handled the situation poorly; I should have done x, but I was stress/tired (you aknowledge that you could have done something different that might have kept the situation from developing or erupting).
good luck.

You could tell them that you feel uncomfortable with what happened and you want to know how you could make the situation better. That way you are not really apologizing for something you didn't do, but are showing your concern about making things right.

The best way to apologize is to just do it, and say what your heart is telling you to say, but why would you want to apologize when it was not your fault. but that is up to you. if you know what you should say then just say it to them. good luck.

What can you apologise for?
You should speak to your boss and explain the situation.
