Perfectly reasonable. Easy to do, heres what I did to get ready for football, on the days that I worked out, at night I drank a protein shake before bed. They're nasty but they pack a good 400-500-ish Calories and give you protein before you sleep, so your muscles can rebuild. I also took a multi-vitamen daily.
Now girls don't bulk up like men, they lack the testosterone, so don't worry about that. If you don't want a shake, add a energy bar to your everyday diet and the pounds will start packin on. You coul try a vairety of premade shakes, personally I like muscle milk
To make your butt nicer, do weighted lunges and squats. I have huge hips and thighs but I have no clue why.
edit: make sure the protein shake is made of whey or egg white, there're bad shakes out there that just use a bunch of fillers

Increase your protein intake, eat HEALTHY, at least every 3-4 hours. You cannot spot-weight gain, however. You can build lean muscle mass in areas, which will make you appear to have 'gained' weight, the difference is you wouldnt be gaining fat, which is much healthier than the earlier suggestion of "just sit and eat".

okay my grandfather used to say taters make your breast and butt grow.
Seriously though my mom is a dietech and it is not good to gain or lose more than 2 pounds a week. But I can tell you that eating fattening foods isn't good because it will go to the midsection. You probably should do exercises to tone those areas which will build muscle. And accentuate them.

To gain weight, you should increase the number of calories in your daily diet by about 300 calories. These extra calories should be part of a balanced diet. Have larger size helpings of food at meals and keep nutritious snacks readily available. More information at http://www.toloseweight.org/gainweight.html

I'd suggest searching for foods you normally eat on this website:
http://www.nutritiondata.com/
and then scrolling down to where you can choose 'better choices.. for weight gain' and it'll give you a list of similar foods that are healthy, but will help you gain weight (you can also pick better choices for weight loss)
also, do some muscle building exercises
http://www.self.com/goal/
join the reach your goal challenge and choose sculpt sexy muscles, it'll give you healthy eating ideas (but you should eat more than they say!) and mostly it'll give you strength exercises to do (you can ignore the cardio!)
heh, you're lucky you want to gain weight but I do hear that it can be as hard/frustrating as trying to lose weight so good luck!

You can gain a lot of weight by drinking Chocolate Milk Shakes. Have a few large ones at McDonalds every day, but don't change your eating habits unless they are bad.

If you want to gain weight, you could try exercising, cause it gains muscle, which in turn is weight. I'm just curious: why?
