Not that there is anything wrong with being gay. In fact, I wish more men were gay, since lack of competition is in my interest, and I can't blame lesbians for liking the same sex that I like, either.
It just happens that I'm heterosexual and don't want to make any women wonder about it....so please tell me why my friends tell me this poem is gay, so that I don't make her wonder!
How could I fix it? Is it beyond repair?
A jéwel box óf obsídian hólds God's bríghtest stár of líght,
But on this earth, all hope for her to shine on me is gone.
What chance have I to see such light in lives in worlds beyond?
A million suns would flare to life, then fade to endless night!

It's not gay, just BORING! I liked the first line, espeically the "jewel box of obsidian." That's a great phrase.
But what the h*ll are you trying to say? Are you talking about having missed the shining star's light and being reincarnated to see it in other worlds, beyond, or that other stars have to go nova to recreate that light?
I don't get it... and it's bland after the first sentence so I have no incentive to try puzzling it out.

if u did u seriously need to think about being a poet. That poem is amazing... It's like shakespeare only less gay... (shakespeare wrote a majority of his love poems to a man)

That poem isn't gay, it's just ridiculously old-fashioned and sappy. Who honestly writes poems to woo women anymore? Couldn't you just tell her how you feel about her and skip all the nuance?

I don't like the poem much, but that's just me.The reason your friends probably think it's gay though is because most guys think that when guys show thier emotions or feeling , or are in anyway sensitive, they are automaticlly gay

I think your friends are just making fun of you.. Are you usually that deep? Because if you are, then your friends aren't making any sense. This poem doesn't have much to do with gender and sexuality.

weell i couldnt see anything in it that connotates anything sexual at all. so definite not gay.
