There are several things that it could be, but I would definitely get it checked out with your doctor. It sounds like it is plueritic in nature, meaning that there is a possiblity it is lung related, and an inflammatory process. However, it could be something very serious. I wouldn't put it off, nonetheless. The faster you get an accurate diagnosis to such things, the better chance you have of beating whatever it may be.
God bless!

Chealsea, a "sharp" pain is usually not a symptom of heart trouble but you should get it checked out. It may be that your bra is iratating a nerve and causing the pain. A constant pressure can do strange things.
Good luck. Pops

That looks like pleurisy, that's difficulty with the lubricant between your lungs and your chest wall. This usually resolves with the help of itself yet can become a bad an infection. as long as you do not have a fever, difficulty respiration (different than the fast stabbing soreness in the comparable area) or flu-like indications i does no longer be too in touch.
