Maybe they think that they invented themselves, they are so brilliant?

Who knows.

If I meet someone who invented intellect, then I will sit at his feet and listen all day. If you're saying to listen to a bunch of men that wrote some stuff 2000 years ago, then that's a different story.

now you're just being snarky. It's not even a proper question.

Why do you guys seem to be so hung up on IQ anyway?

According to an article in Scientific American, an American science-popularization magazine, 90% of the general population surveyed professed a distinct belief in a personal god and afterlife, while only 40% of the scientists with a BS surveyed did so, and only 10% of those considered "eminent." An ongoing Templeton Foundation study that began in 2005 on Religion among Academic Scientists, whose principal researcher is Elaine Howard Ecklund, a sociologist and postdoctoral fellow at Rice University, has examined scientists' religious beliefs (counting social scientists as scientists). The study so far has concluded that 38% of the natural scientists, 24% of the doctors, and 31% of the social scientists surveyed said they do not believe in God. The study sample is comprised of 1,646 faculty at elite research universities.

We also know that 86.2% of all statistics are made up on the spot so feel free to poke around and see for yourself.

At least we tend to be those who take learning and education seriously. We have higher I.Q.'s and are, for the most part, smarter, because we have taken the time to STUDY, read, learn, open our minds to things outside the everyday drivel. We ask questions and demand logical answers.

There are people of all religious faiths who have intelligence, there are people of all races who are intelligent. Why are you so down on people who have higher I.Q.'s? You too can raise your I.Q. Take the time to study, learn, read, open your mind to the infinite possibilities in the Universe. You might just learn something.

Problem is nobody invented intellect.

Gods didnt create minds - minds created gods.

My iq puts me in the top 00.01%

As for learning all day long - no god has ever granted knowledge, just opinions - there must be a reason, musn't there? If there was a god I could go and talk to that could teach me the secrets of the Universe then yes, i would sit at his feet and listen attentively.

So, "someone" invented intellect. Who would that be? Are you referring to God?

If you are, then yes, I would love to learn from him. Could you tell me where to find him?

Wait, I think I already know the answer to that question, he's all around us, am I right?

My bad, I thought you were going to come up with a specific place.

This question doesn't even get a "nice try" rating.

And who do you presume "invented" intellect? It was done through evolution, and no-one "invented" evolution.

Perhaps easier to find would be a being who "invented" God. People have done this quite regularly throughout history.

My I.Q. is 149! Ooohh! I pwn you.

(just kidding)

Being an atheist doesn't really have anything to do with your I.Q. Atheists just take scientific evidence more seriously.

I was intelligent before I was an atheist and if I ever convert to a religion, I hope that I remain just as intelligent.

Saying that someone "invented" intellect is like saying someone invented love or greed.
