well i've liked this shy guy from my class last semester and we were able to talk, some what, never a real conversation. Anyways, I told him I liked him, which I found out later that was a bad idea because it probably freaked him out; but we still spoke. The semester ended and I thought that I would never see him again, so I tried to get over him. I saw him two weeks ago, I was completely baffled not knowing what to do, so I hid. I saw him again a few days later in the cafeteria and have been seeing him there ever since, but I havent spoken to him yet. On valentines day I had a heart and I wrote on it "two halves of a heart made for two, one for me and hopefully one for you" I didnt have enough guts to give it to him so I asked a friend to do it. I saw him again today and all he did was stare at me I want to talk to him but Im shy and hes shy, what should I do?

A lot of people are shy when it comes to this kind of stuff like me. I can get up and speak in front of 200 people with no problem but i choke up when i go to ask a girl out. Just try to start talking to him some and get closer to him before you ask him out.

Well if he knows that it was you who wrote the note, and all he did was stare im sure he is thinking the same as you, he probably didn't know how to apporach you being shy himself. At the end of the day if you're both shy, you should take the step and just go sit with him, talk about anything, share some laughs, then ask him if he got your note, i know you'll be shy, but at least it will be out in the open that you still like him, and then hopefully you can go somewhere from there, rather than the shy akwardness, i hope i helped a little ^-^

When you are shy, it is hard, but sometimes if you overcome it to get what you want it can be really worth it (thats how i got my shy guy) he wasnt gonna tell me he liked me, so i did!
we have been together 4 years this year! :)
sounds like he likes you, so why not bite the bullet and go for it? after all lifes too short!

We are all shy to a degree.
Try going up to him and saying hello. Trust me, if he is as shy as you say he is he'll be more nervous than you.
