Feng Shui and Art?

Question

Where can I find information on what kinds of paintings are good in Feng Shui (attract the good things in life), and what kinds are bad (i.e. attract sadness, etc).

Or, is it just if a painting really speaks to you, (you really are attracted to it) it is good?

Hi this is a good question!

Feng Shui is all about harmonizing the environment you live and/or work in. For a positive happy environment, there are things that a Feng Shui Consultant will do to ensure the energies are happy and not conflicting. A very important part in ensuring a positive outcome is to ensure that the Forms or shapes etc around us are 'beautiful'. If they look ugly or interact with the energies in a negative way, they will cause a negative environment.

We also attract what is around us depending on how we feel and act in our lives and my Master has said that we don't pick the house, the house picks us. It is usually because of whatever level of comfort we are in our lives, when we visit a house to move into or buy, we will be attracted to it depending on our feelings at the time.

If you choose a painting that is of a single lady who looks sad, then it most probably is reflecting how you feel. Once you hang this up in your house, you are then confirming that this is how you feel. If you choose a painting that is of a man and woman in a loving embrace, then you are saying that you want this in your life or already have it and are happy.

The Law of Attraction is very important in Feng Shui and we can decide on what we want to attract, it is what is personal to you and feels positive to you.

Feng Shui through placement of items to enhance good energies and reduce negative ones, can help a lot of people who are possibly in a not so positive position to move out of that and attract more positive things into their lives. To add to that we can also choose any picture or painting that attracts what we want and/or makes us feel good which will enhance our environment even more.

The main thing is that if you are attracted to it, ask yourself does it make you feel good and reflects what you want, or are you attracted to it because it reflects your feelings (good or bad) at the time.

i have been studying fengshui under 2 masters, and i do not believe that there is a painting out there that can make you happier or even richer. fengshui deals with how to optimize your life's wealth or health using its formulas/ configurations and proper applications of these. i really believe that people who make you beleive that statues or paintings are good fengshui to have are fakes! likewise a picture of a monkey or a pair of mandarin ducks at the southwest part of the house cannot attract a spouse for you. if this were the case, then there will be no singles left on earth! this is not fengshui.
