There is a dance coming up and it's dressy casual. What should I wear? Are Jeans okay? And...if not what would be appropriate for a girl to wear?

Do NOT wear jeans! Wear a dress (not long, not a gown, simple black party dress is always a good choice)... one you can dance in! Or wear black pants with an attractive layered or 'holiday party' type of top. Dressy casual is just another way of saying "semi-formal" It's always best to show up "over dressed" than "under-dressed."

Dressy casual means not too dressy (uncomfortable) but not too casual (jeans) so NO, jeans would not be appropriate. A nice pair of slacks and a sexy blouse or top. The phrase "dressy casual" for a woman simply means, a dress with hose is not needed but still nicely dressed (comfortable nice) but no jeans.

Jeans would be just fine (no holes). Wear a fancy top and maybe some heels - add some distinctive jewelry and you will be definitely dressy casual.

pretty much you can wear jeans like the other girl said but you can also wear like caci pants (tan jeans) and a dressy shirt too. you are going to the Lakeview dance by any chance? my sister is going. (Sara) have fun at the dance.

no, jeans are not dressy casual..slacks...girl- slacks, top, blazer, or skirt or simple dress

Black slacks with new white tennis shoes. probably a silver or white blouse. -at dances always wear white or light silver long sleeve shiney blouse, why? It make you glow in the dark. Long Black beeds or necklace - optional depending on the blouse and they look together.
