I got one better. Join your school's track team. I had legs of steel during those times. It'll also give you more motivation to do better than running by yourself. And it'll improve your cardio and help you lose weight, too. Good luck.

Yes, you'd lose weight. Try some Windsor Pilates execise styles to go with it. You'd need to start running 30 min. a day immediately. Running burns 550 calories/hour.

Running, swimming, jump rope, bicycling all will assist in losing weight and toning up , just remember as the fat goes muscle comes in its place and fat weighs more, so you'll have to keep this up. Also a diet rich in veggies, fruit, limit soft drinks and chips. And guess what? By the time you are 14/15 your body will change and you will also have a waist. Right now you have the body of an adolescent and it is normal.

I'm really hesitant to answer this question to an 11 year old, but I would advise you to just stay healthy and don't eat junk food. That little bit of baby fat will disappear if you stay active.
You did not state your height, but from the weight of my own children I will tell you that 84 pounds is not excessive and 60 pounds is very small.
Try to get involved in basketball, track, swimming or some other indoor sport.
Above all please talk to your parents, guidance counselor or an adult that you trust.
GOOD LUCK!!!

hey i understand my friends who's 14 wanted to loss weight too, so she had a big break feast (eggs, whomeal bread, fruit) , small recess (vegetable or fruit), medium lunch (salad) and small dinner (chicken and vegs or fish). she had no snacking and also drank 3 liters of water which is very important. then she went to the gym everyday not just to run but to do classes which help you loss at least 800 calories. all of that effort and now she has an amazing body. just few tips . break feast is the most important meal of the day it should also be your biggest meal as you burn the fat and calories during the day. dinner should be the smallest. take things slow and don't not eat or you will not grow in future and stay short. its also stuffs up your metabolism . x good luck tell me how you go

Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

i am sure about that!
you will see about that after the first week!
but in the same time you need to control your diet! eat healthy and make sure that you will eat less that usually.
