I love to put lots of syrup on my pancake's and I also wipe it off the plate.If there is still some left over I even lick it off.

i don't like pouring my syrup on top of my pancakes
i don't like pancakes that are soggy in the middle
so i pour the syrup around the edges
and cut them as i eat them
i guess i eat them from the outside in
geeeeeeee
i didn't know i was so fussy

i eat waffles but i drizzle the syrup all over them and sop up all of it with the waffles.
