well you have pretty much elimineted the secondary ignition curcit
with the cap rotor and wires. but it sounds like you have a lean fuel mixture, with a vacuume leak somewhere. get a can of carb cleaner that comes with a straw and spray very slowly around the intake manifold and vacuume hoses and see if the idle rises. if it does then you found your leak.you might also get a plant mister bottle and spray around the cap and wires while idleing
and look for sparks

does this at idle? Pull off plug wires, one at a time and replace it after noting if the engine changes or not until you find the one that it makes no difference. Then check compression or change out that one plug. If they all effect the engine the same way at idle, and you do have good plugs all around, then maybe something wrong with injector for one cylinder. Try some injector cleaner in the gas and run that thru a tank or so. Cheapest and easiest way. Check your fuel filter too.

Probably the timing, but would have to see to be sure because there are so many checks to find the problem. sorry i couldn't be of more assistance. possibly you could purchase a manual on this car and diagnose the problem. Lots of luck!
