What are your opinions on this new lottery?
There is only one winner for all the tickets sold.
Does $5. a ticket seem to much?
I mean, what are the chances that I would actually win something?
Am I wasting my money?

All of the lotteries are essentially rip-offs.

Theya re always promoted as being fundraisers for education. If they are supposed to fund education then why do school districts continue to have to raise school tax rates AFTER the lotteries are set up?

The amount of pay-out compared to the ammount collected in ticket sales sasy that we shouldn't have to pay a dime in property taxes for schools EVER again! The "better"pay out rate lotteries give 10% of thier income in "prizes"

Who is getting the money from these things?

The money is not going where the advertisements say.

Idiots buy lotto tickets and call that thier retirement plan.

yeah it's probably a long shot, but it does feel nice to dream! My favourite lottery commerial is the one with the family and the 3 huge cottages they buy for there kids and families. At least some of the money goes to charities, or at least until the next government scandel comes to light!
