So there's this guy named Matt, He's a grade older but he's 19, I've known him for eight years when I was in third me and his lil bro *my grade* always fought and Matt always defended me. He and I have been really close since then including the fact that he lives a block and a half away.

Lately he's been confusing me, being more protective of me when I told him I used to cut, I've been sick for the last four days missing school, so when I called to see what I missed in our Japanese class, he told me he'll tutor me to catch me up, and he's a great cook and today he offered to make alot of chocolate based sweets and come and watch movies. He's never done this for any of his closer friends.

There's some more too. Last time there was a snow day I went to his house to escape fighting parents, while I was there supposed to hang out with his little sister and her friends, they ditched me and Matt for about a half hour where he challenged me to soccer, boasting at how he can beat me, stole some of my hot chocolate, offered to walk me home(I had to leave in about 10 minutes at this point), also offered to me my chauffer

So what do you think he's thinking? Or am I reading to much into things?

there is definately something there. i say he is attracted and thinks you think of him as a brother. try flirting with him and see what that does. if he flirts back he is yours. if not your his sister. and you do think too much. try doing for a change.

I do believe he is willing to take you're friendship to a next level. If you feel the same way, I'd encourage him a little at a time. It's best to move slow since you, I believe to be younger than him.

Hard to tell what he's thinking. Just hang in there and wait for more clues. He may just be working at being your big brother. Maybe he wants to be more, but since he is older and maybe wiser - let him tell you what his intentions are. Give him time to let you know what's up! Good luck!

He sounds really sweet. It can be either way. He may be acting like a big brother to you or he may be interested in you as more than a brother. I hope it's the latter.

Give him a big hug, all casually, and see what it leads to.
It sounds like he's crushing on you, and I don't say that often.

i think he likes you. he seems to be doing nice things for you, teasing you, and helping you a lot. i think you should--if you like him back-- ask him out or at least flirt with him and see how he reacts.

he likes you but he doesn't want to ruin what the two of you already have, which is a great friendship.
